Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Significant progress has been made in accessing education, particularly at the primary school level, for both boys and girls. However, access does not always mean quality education, or completion of primary school. In developing countries, the number of enrollments in primary education reached 90%, but 58 million children remain out of school. More than half of the out-of-school children live in sub-Saharan Africa. The objectives of the goal by 2030 is to ensure that all girls and boys, girls and boys, enjoy free, equitable and quality primary and secondary education, leading to appropriate and effective learning outcomes, and also have access to good quality early childhood development and care and pre-primary education through to be ready for primary education. Ensure equal access for all women and men to quality and affordable vocational and higher education, including university education. To start self-employment, the availability of technical and vocational skills in youth and adults to work and occupy decent jobs is increasing.
